Malenya Lusimba

I am Malenya Lusimba. I currently work for Bank of Africa Kenya as the Bank’s Archivist. I have previously worked for Archiv System, a subsidiary of AGS-FRASERS, as a Records Projects Manager. I was responsible for carrying out commercial development and prospecting for new clients, consultancy work for other organisations, as well as training on the management of records on and off site for clients. I have also worked for URTNA–PEC, now Africa Union of Broadcasting (AUB) as Audio-Visual Archivist for a period of ten years, where I was in charge of the centres’ Archives and Library besides other duties.

I am Cynthia Nenkashe Mpoke, a Knowledge Management Supervisor at the Kenya Revenue Authority. My job entails the implementation of the institution’s knowledge management strategy, policies and work plan. I am also championing and creating awareness in the field of knowledge management in the organization. I have assisted the organization in implementing some of the critical success strategies in Knowledge Management which I learned during my training. These include the identification of critical business processes; managing knowledge assets and intellectual capital; supporting the creation of communities of practice; and identifying subject matter experts in the organization.

Hi. My name is Christine Kanyangi. I work for the Judiciary as an Executive Officer at the Mombasa Law Courts. My current job entails allocating duties and supervising judiciary staff; addressing complaints from litigants and clients; ensuring court orders are processed; and ensuring that there is a healthy working environment in the court. As the head of the court registry and the custodian of court records, my work is also to ensure the safety and security of records.

Joseph Kabiru

Hi everyone. My name is Joseph Kabiru. I work for the Judicial Service Commission as an archivist. I am in charge of closed criminal case records and exhibits. My job entails advising the management on the operational and legal requirements on records management in order to comply with the requirement of the statutes that govern the creation, use, maintenance, appraisal and disposition of public records under CAP 14 &19 of the Laws of Kenya. I plan, coordinate, organize and establish control mechanisms towards good records management at the Judicial Service Commission. I am also the officer in charge of staff training and security of records.

My name is Beatrice Emanuella Lekadaa. I am working for the Ministry of Interior and Registration of Persons. I am currently the Civil Registrar of Births and Deaths in Samburu County. Kenneth Kariuki Kibithe

My name is Kenneth Kariuki Kibithe. I am an employee of Murang’a University of Technology working as a Systems Librarian in the University Library. My job involves automating the University Library through development, administration and maintenance of different information management systems such as Koha, Dspace and other library management systems. In addition, I am involved in the administration of the e-learning management system, Moodle, in the university. I also undertake the task of processing new book and non-book materials in the library. My other daily activities include registering library patrons in the library management system and running backup scripts and debugging Koha, Dspace and Moodle.
